A relentless learner, Dr. Praveen Kumar Chintapanti, through his professional and personal journey, has mastered the understanding of the basic tenets of human behavior at its core. He has touched and transformed many lives in unassuming yet compelling ways. He carries a mystically incredible aura that brings art, science and spirituality to a convergence, enriching individual inward journeys. His approach to defining and achieving transformation is not only unique but also challenges many existing learning mechanisms.
Dr. Praveen Chintapanti worked as a consultant Psychiatrist at NHS, UK and prior to that he pursued his studies from NIMHANS, Bangalore and Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. During his 12-year stint with NHS, UK, Dr. Praveen honed his skills of understanding human behavior and the mind from various perspectives. He spent some time in the Himalayas with various gurus. He mastered the technique of amalgamating science and spirituality to transform the lives of people.
Dr. Venu graduated from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad and pursued MD in Psychiatry from NIMHANS, Bangalore. Later, he went to UK and obtained his membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). Dr. Venu also undertook higher specialist training in adult psychiatry and was awarded a certificate of completion of specialist training (CCST) in 2005. In recognition of his substantial & significant contributions to the profession of psychiatry Dr. Venu was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) in 2015. He returned to India in 2014 and has been associated with Tranquil Minds ever since.
Dr Hasanthi Thumurothu has recently joined our team of Psychiatrists. She graduated from Government Medical College, Anantapur and pursued her MD Psychiatry from Mamata Medical College, Khammam.
Post her education she worked as a Senior Resident for a period of 1 year at Government Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Hyderabad. Her areas of interest are dealing with patients having chronic mental illnesses and mental health issues among women. She takes an active interest in supporting the caregivers.
Dr Hasanthi is an avid reader and she is seen reading a book/blog/article in her free time.
Dr Damodar R Chari is the most recent addition to our team of Doctors. He graduated from Goa Medical College and later completed his post-graduation in Psychiatry from Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore. Further, he pursued his DNB (Psychiatry) from Asha Hospital, Hyderabad. His areas of interest are Old Age Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
Dr Damodar can converse in four languages – Konkani, Marathi, Hindi and English. Dr Damodar loves football and does not miss any opportunity to watch live football leagues. He also indulges in cooking a variety of seafood which is his passion.
